CCTV
Mar-Tech has various crawlers capable of carrying CCTV equipment through pipelines as small as 75mm in diameter, and as large as 2 meters or more.
Cameras
Mini-camera
For smaller diameter pipes, Mar-Tech uses a portable, independent mini-camera system. This system allows the operator to view defects in pipes as small as 75mm diameter, and record the inspection on video. This system can be integrated with the Granite XP software in order to provide the client with CD/DVD quality WRc video reports.
OZ II Camera
The OZ II from Cues Inc. is an impressive optical device that allows for sharp images to access the condition of any pipe. Major advantages are the 10x optical zoom, excellent picture clarity and macro (close-up) focus capacity.
Camera specifications: * 360 x 270 degree pan-and-rotate viewing capability; observes detail up to 60 meters away * Light Enhancement (shutter) control; can inspect lateral services and get a great picture 60 meters down the line * 10x : 1 optical zoom, and a 4x digital zoom, for a total of 40:1 zoom capability * Built-in camera diagnostics, including a troubleshooting and maintenance aid, reducing down-time and repair costs
LAMP Camera
The self-propelled LAMP (Lateral and Mainline Probe) accomplishes a one-pass pan-and-tilt inspection of mainlines 150mm to 600mm diameter, with simultaneous inspection of the adjacent lateral services up to 24 meters! Equipped with two high-resolution cameras, the LAMP picture-in-picture feature enables the operator to monitor the pan-and-tilt inspection of the mainline while launching a camera up an adjacent lateral service. LAMP is an essential inspection tool for identifying infiltration and inflow, solids accumulation, root infiltration, pipe defects, and the structural condition of lateral services and mainline sewers.
LAMP is used in the pipe bursting industry for precise location of lateral services, avoiding costly damage to existing infrastructure during the boring process. LAMP is also used to verify the quality of rehabilitation processes such as lateral and mainline relining and spot repair.
Features of the Pan-and-Tilt and Lateral Inspection Camera * Pan-and-tilt inspection of mainline with simultaneous inspection of lateral services * Pan-and-tilt inspection of 150mm through 600mm diameter mainlines * Lateral inspection of 75mm through 150mm diameter services * Self-propelled camera launcher * High resolution cameras with great clarity of detail * Optional sonde and camera-locating receiver
Crawlers
Steerable Mudmaster
This camera transporter is designed for 600mm through 1500mm lines, as well as odd-shaped chamber and access nodes much larger than this. It uses state-of-the-art power lift, and uses the advanced light head technologies of the OZ II camera.
The Mudmaster is a waterproof, skid-steer unit capable of turning 360° within its own radius, which enables it to navigate pipelines with multiple 45° and 90° bends.
The remote operated camera lift can be inserted through a 400mm diameter manhole, precluding an operator from confined space entry. This rugged all-wheel drive camera transporter can traverse up to 450 M of pipeline depending on pipe conditions.
Laser Profiler
The Cues laser profiler combines the latest technologies in laser illumination with computer processing to provide the contractor, municipality or consulting engineering with the empirical data necessary to analyze the true pipe condition prior to, or after, rehabilitation. When used as a video survey tool, it can provide accuracies up to 1mm when measuring pipe size, deformation, erosion, encrustation, debris, grease, flows, joint displacement, lateral protrusion, surface damage, holes, joint separation, and more. When combined with a Cues inclinometer, a complete pipeline data report can ensure that the best and most economical rehabilitation method is selected.
The Cues Laser Profiler is a stand-alone, snap-on tool used with a Cues standard CCTV survey system. No wiring connections are required. For lines 150mm to 300mm, the system can be attached directly to a Cues Nigh Owl Pan-and-Tilt camera. For lines 250mm through 600mm, the system can easily be attached to a Cues camera transporter using simple carbon fiber pole extensions.
The software is designed to be simple and easy to use, either on the survey vehicle, or on a remote computer. On the vehicle, questionable deformation, internal pipe diameter, or defects can be measured immediately. A complete pipe analysis can be done at any time using the original survey tape, CD, or DVD.
As a post-rehabilitation tool, it is unmatched in verifying the quality of the finished work, regardless of rehab method.
